About

The Sustainable Infrastructure and Geotechnical Research Team aims to develop innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions and strategies to enhance the structural and energy integrity of Geotechnical and Transportation Infrastructure and Subsurface Utilities.

We are interested in establishing interdisciplinary and collaborative R&D programs related to infrastructure resilience to climate change, natural- and human-induced hazards, permafrost engineering, monitoring, non-destructive testing, risk assessment, geothermal energy and geotechnical earthquake engineering and ground vibration.

To achieve this goal, we apply a multidisciplinary and holistic approach that comprises fundamental and applied research including advanced numerical analysis, field monitoring, and comprehensive experimental tests to investigate different phases of the life cycle of infrastructure.

The ingredients of our research philosophy are hard work, dedication, adaptability, and collaboration. We are looking for building strong and meaningful teamwork
