Iman Jabalameli

PhD Candidate (2018 - Present)

Research Interests: Earthquake Engineering, Dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction, Ground Vibration.

Bio: Iman has finished his bachelor’s degree at the University of Tehran, Faculty of Engineering in the field of Civil Engineering. He began his professional work in Iran’s developing construction industry in 2003 pursuing his career in Project Management of several significant Residential, Commercial and Administrative buildings. His experience as a project manager in many credible construction companies, e.g. Atisaz Co., Moallem Construction Group Co. and, Housing Investment Group Co. gave him a bright background of construction industry value chain, from an idea to construction. In 2015 he has obtained his M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from IAU. Meanwhile, he was working on developing a Special Moment Frame (SMF) Steel Connection, which can dissipate a large amount of energy during an earthquake by using the FEM method and Abaqus FEM Numerical Modeling Software.
Now, he is a Research Assistant and, a Ph.D. student in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Manitoba. His current field of research is “The Risk Assessment of Construction-induced Vibrations on the Slope Stability of Riverbanks.”
